Spiritual Consultations with Rev. Tom

Picture
As a minister, I feel it is important to offer spiritual guidance. Whether that is simply by listening to your cares and concerns, and offering a bit of advice based on my own life experiences, or by way of some metaphysical means, such as the Tarot or the Runes, I am at your service. Of course, you must understand that I am NOT a mental health professional and what I am offering to you should not be taken as anything more than spiritual guidance.

Another important point I want to make pertains specifically to readings. Readings are a guideline, they are not the end-all, be-all, final word on anything. If any psychic tells you otherwise...well, save your money! The information that you receive from a reading is simply a "picture" of what you can expect, based upon how things are. Ultimately, you have the power to change what is yet to come. In some cases, simply knowing what to expect will change the outcome. For instance, if I tell you that you're going to be involved in a horrible accident on the way home today if you don't take a different route, then you change your route and find out later that there was a huge pile-up on the interstate; you just changed your future! You took charge and decided to do something different. By doing that, you kept yourself from either being stuck in traffic for hours, or actually being directly involved in an accident. It's the same with anything else. The important thing to remember is that nothing but the past is carved in stone…

In all of my readings, we will take a look at where you are now, what lead you to this place, and where you can expect to go from here. We will also look at what kind of influences are around you – whether that manifests as people, events, etc. – and your best course of action. All of this is meant to give you a little clarification about what life has in store for you and to help you to realize your full potential. Are you ready?

I am currently offering a variety of method for my clients to receive a spiritual consultation. Of course, the preferred method is always to meet you in person. However, in some cases, that just isn’t the most practical or possible. In such cases, I am also available to do consultations by phone, live chat, or email.

NOTE: I do charge for my services. Generally speaking, my rates are negotiable.

Consulting the Tarot

Picture
Originating as common playing cards, the Tarot cards have evolved over the span of six centuries to become one of the most complex and versatile metaphysical tools in existence. Not only are the Tarot used for divination, they are also used as foci for meditation, astral travel, and even ritual work.

Although the Tarot is thought to have originated in the 15th century with the Visconti-Sforza playing cards, there are now a wide variety of decks available. Designs range from classical reproductions of some of the original decks, to modern recreations based on traditional symbols, to totally new creations. There are even Tarot decks based on pop culture icons, such as Hello Kitty, Lord of the Rings, and vampires!

I believe in keeping things simple. When I read the Tarot, I do not use a bunch of elaborate spreads, nor do I use multiple decks, as some readers do. I have two decks (among the many in my collection) that I actually use for readings. One of those, is a classic Rider-Waite deck, which rarely comes out, these days. The other is a more contemporary deck (The Gilded Tarot), which is loosely based upon the traditional Rider-Waite symbolism. What can I say? I am a traditionalist!

The spread I use is largely of my own making; as I indicated above, it fairly simple and straight forward. I feel that the simplicity of the spread leaves more room for the Universe, the subconscious, and the psychic faculties to do their work. This way, both reader and client can focus more on the message, then on the source of that message.

Consulting the Anglo-Saxon Runes

Picture
The Anglo-Saxon Runes came into existence in pre-Christian Northern Europe. They were originally used as an alphabet, though not in the same way that we use our Roman alphabet, today. The Runes were not used so much to write literature or philosophy. Archeological evidence suggests that they were employed mainly to either commemorate important happenings – or important people, or to mark belongings. Further evidence also suggests that they were used for working magic and for divination.

Each of the Runes represents either a force of nature, or some facet of human nature. Just as with the Tarot, there are many possible interpretations for each one. The correct interpretation is determined by how each Rune falls in relation to the others.

My method for reading the Runes is not, by any means, traditional. The way I do it is something I happened upon through many years of trial and error. Generally speaking, I don’t typically do a lot of Rune readings for anyone other than myself, although that has gradually been changing. The reason for this, is that, up until I figured out my own way of working with them, I always had trouble translating the messages I was seeing. The opportunities that I’ve had to use this technique have all proven to be very positive experiences, both for me and for the client.
