My Ministry: “I’m Not That Kind of Minister…”
A lot of people see the title “Reverend” and think, “Oh, great! He’s going to try and cram his religion down everyone’s throat!” I’m not that kind of minister! It’s true that I have some pretty strong convictions, but I’m not really interested in “converting” anyone, nor am I out to sell salvation. Well…that’s not entirely true, but my take on salvation is a little different than what you might be used to hearing. I believe that salvation is found, not through any specific creed or dogma, but rather through acting in accordance with what resonates as truth in the mind, body, and soul of each individual.
So, my ministry is not based upon any specific religion, but rather it is focused on helping each individual to seek out their own individual spiritual path. The ultimate goal of the work that I do is to guide each client toward reaching their full potential in whatever way best suits that person, whether that’s through spiritual consultations, or through hypnotherapeutic work.
It is my firm belief that none of the religions of the world are the end-all-be-all for all people. Some will find their answers in one place and be content, while others will feel compelled to seek elsewhere. The fact that there are so many different faiths should not be taken as a sign that the vast majority of humankind is spiritually lost, but rather it should be a testament to the multifaceted complexity of the divine! We should celebrate this diversity and encourage our fellow human beings to seek fulfillment in whatever way speaks best to their hearts.
Finally, I believe strongly in three things: 1 - Above all things, Love is the greatest, most powerful, and only really important thing in the Universe; 2 - the second most important thing is to strive for balance in all areas of one's life; 3 - (and this goes hand-in-hand with number 2) it is important to be healthy in mind, body, and spirit. Each supports the others. If we don't take care of our bodies, our mind and spirit suffer...and so on, and so on... That said, I don't mean to say that if somone struggles with a physical or mental ailment, that they are less capable of being "complete." However, every individual has the capacity to be "as healthy as they are able." For one person, that might be a daily 2 mile run, for another, it might simply be a daily walk to the mailbox. Knowing one's limitations is part of being healthy, also.
